Garmin Montana 650

Montana 650 features a bold 4 in. color touchscreen dual orientation display and supports multiple mapping options like BirdsEye Satellite Imagery and it has a 5 megapixel camera to boot.

Montana has key features for the outdoors such as a 3-axis tilt-compensated compass and barometric altimeter.

njoy the great outdoors with the versatile and easy-to-use Garmin Montana 650t, a handheld GPS designed for use in a variety of activities such as hiking, hunting or boating.

With an array of compatible mounts to choose from the 650t has the flexibility to be used on motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, boats or in your car.

Housed in a durable casing, this rugged and waterproof unit meets IPX7 standards and is specifically built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions.

The Montana 650t features a large, ultra-bright 4” sunlight-readable touchscreen display with a 270 x 480 pixel resolution and an easy-to-use interface that’s even glove friendly.

With the dual orientation feature the display can be viewed in portrait or landscape mode and can be locked to prevent shifting so you keep your bearings. Due to its high-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix® satellite prediction, the 650t reliably pinpoints your location quickly and accurately, even when in heavy cover or deep canyons.

The barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your exact altitude and even helps you stay on top of changing weather conditions by tracking changes in pressure over time.

In addition, you will always know where you are heading with the impressive 3-axis, tilt-compensated electronic compass that works while standing still and without having to hold it level.

Go anywhere and everywhere with the Montana 650t. The unit comes preloaded with Worldwide Basemap and Garmin’s TOPO 100K detailed maps for the U.S. so locating parks, trails, rural roads, shorelines, wetlands, and summits is a breeze.

With the 650t’s built-in 3.5GB of internal memory and the ability to add a MicroSD card, you can easily add additional mapping to fit your specific needs. Simply add TOPO U.S. 24K to hit the trail with even greater detail than the preloaded 1:100K mapping, BlueChart® g2 for a great day on the water or City Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.

Additionally, the 650t supports BirdsEye Satellite imagery (subscription required) that can be integrated into your existing maps for an aerial view of satellite images.

Planning your next adventure is also a walk in the park with the BaseMap feature that lets you view and organize your maps, waypoints, routes, and tracks; displaying map data in 2-D or 3-D on your computer screen.

And with a dual battery system, you have the choice to use a rechargeable lithium-ion pack for up to 16 hours of battery life or traditional AA batteries for up to 22 hours of battery life.

Capture memories of your adventure with the Montana 650t’s 5 megapixel digital camera that automatically geotags pictures so you can locate those spots in the future.

You can also easily share details of your favorite hike or cache with others by simply pressing “send” to transfer waypoints, tracks, routes and geocaches wirelessly to other compatible Garmin devices.

The Montana 650t also supports geocaching GPX files so you can download geocaches and details directly to your unit, alleviating the tedious task of manually entering coordinates and generating printouts.

The 650t stores all you valuable information including location, terrain, level of difficulty, tips and descriptions. This durable, easy-to-use, and versatile handheld GPS that comes loaded with exceptional features, is the perfect companion for all your outdoor adventures.
